I was having a conversation with Justin, and the last letter of my sentence happened to be "n." By ill luck, just as I typed that and hit "enter" to send, up popped a "Do you want to accept message from" dialogue box from AIM, and the "N (enter)" made me say no. I have no idea who the hell it was. Now I've probably offended somebody and I have no way of finding out who or of making it better.

This is an example why I've used the TweakUI "Powertoy" from Microsoft to force windows to disallow dialog boxes and applications from "Stealing Focus". Instead, they will go straight to the taskbar and flash their icon untill I click on it. It works with most (but not all) applications and reduces the frustration level quite a bit. I can't imagine not having that feature once I found it.
