Gladiator was on TV last night or maybe it was the night before. Hans Zimmer wrote the score for both it and Pirates of the Caribbean, and you could tell. At dramatic moments I would hum themes from Pirates and it sounded exactly like the music in Gladiator... I was, of course, far too amused by this. Also, it's odd how little Maximus resembles Jack Aubrey despite the fact that they are the same man.
