Apr. 21st, 2006 03:08 pmI just got back from a trip downtown to the unemployment office, which also functions as the re-employment office, as they hook job seekers up with open positions. Got a couple of good leads, one in particular I'm hoping will pan out, but I can't follow up on it until Monday as the manager had gone home before I reached the location. I shan't go into further detail because I'm becoming more and more superstitious about jinxes as this goes on.
On the way home I was behind a city vehicle, one of the pickup trucks that functions as a haz-mat team as well as enforcing the pollution, water conservation, and other nature-related edicts of the town. Of course it's covered all over with vinyl lettering and flash in the city's trademarked shade of green. But it's labeled ENVIORNMENTAL ENFORCEMENT. It's not just this one, they are all labeled ENVIORNMENTAL ENFORCEMENT; the whole fleet is misspelled.
Christ.
