(no subject)

Y'know what is driving me absolutely crazy? I haven't seen Return of the King yet. If I were back in New York I'd've seen it within days of it coming out. I could go tomorrow after work - I've been assigned a 1-9 shift for reasons unknown to me, and I could clock out fifteen minutes early and hit the 9:10 show at the Carmike 10 movie theater. But I don't really just want to go sit in the theeater. I want to go with somebody who wants to see the movie as much as I do. I want to get excited about it and share in my companion's reactions as well as experiencing my own. I want to go to Denny's afterward and talk about what we just saw while we linger over fries and endless soda refills. I want to do what I'd be doing back home with Vinnie and Scua-Sara and Irish-Sara and everybody else. Justin doesn't give a shit about the movie, so I don't have that here.

I am sad and I miss my friends.

To elaborate on that phone post....

I propose a get-together for all and sundry who may be interested in attending the Canton First Monday Trade Days on Saturday, January 31. If you're interested, reply in comments or email me (goracin21 at excite dot com). Feel free to bring a friend. I figure it's probably a big enough place that even if we all got bored with hanging out with each other we could go our separate ways and still have fun. ;)

Justin and I would be heading in from Longview, and anybody who's along our way is welcome to carpool. I have a Jeep Cherokee with room for three people besides Justin and myself, plus plenty of cargo space in case we buy stuff or need to carry an umbrella/a baby carriage as a shopping cart/a picnic basket/etc with us.
