Mar. 15th, 2004 07:06 pmWORK SUCKED. Biggest annoyance: I had one huge-O job that had to be done, and in fact I only got it half-done before I left - because while I was trying to work on it, the copier fixing guy came in to work on the stapling thing, and six other jobs came up that needed running, and I was asked to do some bindings, and I had to trim up some business cards, and also man the counter. Yet the manager from the Tyler store (who is nominally our boss because of the new "cluster" system) kept digging at me about how he'd only seen me working on that one job all day. I wanted to punch him, implying that I was lazing around or something!
But when I got home, we went to the putt-putt place to spend some of the tokens we got on Saturday. See, normally one game of golf is $6 a person and the tokens are four for $1, but on Saturday from 10-2 you can play unlimited golf for $6 and you also get 40 tokens for that same price. So we got there at 1 and spent $12 to play two rounds of golf and get $20 worth of tokens. We didn't get to use our tokens on Saturday because there was a massive group of children there and we didn't want to deal with 'em, so we went today and played skeeball and the waterfall game (where you drop coins in and try to use your coins to knock more coins off) and stuff for about an hour. Then we used the tickets we won to buy candy, a fetchin' little fan, and a set of four nice little juice glasses (brand name and made of real glass, diner-style and light green). All in all - glasses, candy, fan, an hour of golf and an hour of gaming - all for $12. Not bad.
Then we had to come home and wait for Justin's brother to finish with baseball so Justin could pick him up and take him home, so we can make dinner. That's what he's doing right now. Then: steaks and potato.
