Today was a very good day. I wore a cute little skirt and it made me feel pretty. We took some stale bread and drove out to Lake Gladewater, where we fed a bunch of ducks and geese. The geese were HUGE, and very forward in their dealings with us; they had no compunctions about coming right up to us and honking loudly if we weren't feeding them enough. At one point I was sure the goose was going to steal the entire bag of bread. It was quite a divertisement.
After that we drove around aimlessly, eventually heading up to Lake O' The Pines, which I hope is the only lake in North America to have an apostrophe as part of its official name. That is some truly beautiful country. I could hardly believe I was in Texas.
We came home, had some fun, had some dinner, did some laundry, watched some TV... in all, it was a very good, relaxing day. I needed that.
