got my state tax refund today

They applied some sort of Family Income Credit to my return, which I'd assumed I didn't qualify for as I have no kids... but they decided I did, apparently, and so I got twice as much refunded as I'd expected - a couple bucks more than I actually paid out in taxes last year, somehow. I'm not complaining; they chose to give me $55 instead of $25.
