I want this dress. But $500?? Is that normal for a wedding dress? It seems like a lot for something I'll only wear once. Although that particular dress I could probably shorten and add trim to and wear it as a normal summer dress if I wanted.

That's actually low for many of the dresses I saw. Mine was around, I think, $500-$600, and that was heavily discounted. Including undergarments, shoes, veil & tiara, I ended up paying $850, and everyone I've told that to was shocked.

My dress (which was an Alfred Sung [Canadian very well-known designer]) was something like 75% off for $749. So... yeah, that's a pretty inexpensive dress there, sweetie.
