They start out in NYC, right? Then the ferry scene is in Athens. Athens is opposite the city of Hudson, near my hometown. Between NYC and Athens, there are AT LEAST two major bridges, including the Rip Van Winkle between Catskill and Hudson just a few miles south of Athens. I mean, Athens hasn't HAD a ferry in sixty years, but even beyond that, WHY would they drive three hours north before they decided to cross the river? Did the aliens take out every single bridge, but leave the ferries alone until Tom Cruise decided to get on one?
Also, there's a scene in which we see bodies flowing down a river. Are those supposed to be coming out of NYC? If so, what river are we looking at? This puzzled me right up until I wrote this sentence, when I remembered that the Hudson flows both ways. And I guess it might've been some other river, anyway.
