I know, I know, this is a really crazy thought - I'm kinda getting off the wall here - but do you ever think that maybe, possibly, this whole drought thing might not be such a big deal if it weren't for the fact that every resident of Texas seems to think there's a clause in the Constitution guaranteeing their right to a four-acre, perfectly-manicured front lawn watered thrice daily by a team of Hispanic landscapers?

I might be wrong, of course.

Well, the Dallas Morning News ain't helping. About a week or two ago they ran a story on how some homeowners are still able to keep their lawns lush and green even with the watering restrictions. The advice? Obey the law and water only on your designated days, but when your day comes, WATER THE HELL OUT OF YOUR LAWN. Gee thanks, guys, that really doesn't help us save water, does it?
