Nope, I just reread the lease, and there is NOTHING about tinsel, decorations, or ANYTHING concerning what may or may not be hung upon the door at any given time ever, anywhere within the document. 

So what EXACT part of the lease were we VIOLATING?

The part reading "The landlord reserves the right to be a dickweed with no prior notification or adherence to logical thinking."

It's a standard clause in most any lease.

In cities of more than 200,000 I think they replace "dickweed" with "motherfucker," but I think the rest is boilerplate, yeah.
