Isn't this kind of against federal law?
Apparently we are not supposed to feel as if "patrolling in full battle rattle ... at home" is a bad thing, we are supposed to celebrate because lol we wanted them to bring home the troops and hey they are :V

Date: 2008-09-25 06:41 am (UTC)i'm not sure of the legality, comitatus aspect, but it reads like they're a support/action element. which honestly is usually a role the NG steps into in these situations anyway. so at this stage it could be a non issue.

Date: 2008-09-25 08:58 pm (UTC)but as it plays out, this isn't in violation of Posse, which is more slanted towards the civil unrest/ law enforcement angle. So should they deploy for something outside the aforementioned scope, then hells yes it's on.
