Ok, so in Master and Commander, Stephen and Jack play one duet that involves one of them strumming their instrument while the other one bows theirs. They switch off. It's a very happy, rollicking-sounding tune that would be fun to dance to. Anybody know the name?

Also in re: Master and Commander: Forget all the subtext in the books. The "dears," the sweet nothings, the sharing of the berth. They are so totally NOT gay. My evidence? Surely no self-respecting homosexual would wear Stephen's horrible housecoat.

One of the highlights of seeing Master and Commander in the theater was when the crew sang "Spanish Ladies" and Justin sang along. Yes, he knows the lyrics to random old sea shanties. I was surprised. I shouldn't have been - he's a repository of odd knowledge. Although he doesn't know the Erie Canal song.
